Should I really do this?

You better believe it!

I read somewhere that I shouldn’t do what I’m about to. The reason being — I’ll be training readers to simply expect everything to be free.

But I don’t see it that way. Folks who like my work will purchase when they’re ready (or financially able). Right now, I’m more concerned with just getting visibility while helping in the ways I can.

I doubt there are very many folks at this point who haven’t felt the effects of the ongoing pandemic. Working remotely and social distancing have become so much more than new buzzwords. And, because of that, there’s a lot I can’t do to help anyone right now. Seems like most of the world is in lockdown.

But I can pray for people, and I do. Which is huge, by the way. If you think all you can do is pray, please don’t see it as a small thing. Talking to God, who created everything, is no insignificant act.

I can also write. So I do that too. And since I know everyone can’t afford to drop money on books right now (even electronic ones), I want to give away as many copies of book one as I can.

So for now (until whenever), I’m making the first ebook of my ‘Sword & Spirit’ trilogy free.  An electronic version of ‘Renegade Realms’ is available on Amazon and other platforms at no charge. That’s the equivalent of a 240 page novel for free. (Link is at the bottom)

If you haven’t read it yet, here’s a review to give you a hint:

What do you get when you mix elves with aliens and zombies? How about a great, fun read. Add in a little southern charm and moonshine that’s so much more, and you have a winner. This quick, action packed Christian Sci-Fi Fantasy might sound like Worth has tried to mash too many elements together, but he pulls it off in a seamless story that won’t let you down.

When an infant elvish prince is left an orphan, ex-green beret Joe Hatton takes the child in, names him Eli, and raises him as his son. Now, fifteen years later, Joe tells Eli the truth about his heritage. Things are about to heat up as evil sorcerer, Xal, is coming closer in his search for both Eli and the flaming sword, Lahat Khehreb. The treasure that Joe has kept hidden since Eli’s arrival.

So … if you are looking for an out of the ordinary read, join Joe, Eli, Shekinah and their friends for a different kind of fantasy adventure with a Dukes of Hazzard flare.

(Thanks again Christine, you rock! Check out her work if you will. She’s a fellow author and is simply incredible — here’s her Amazon author page.)

And please share this with your friends and family!

If you download my book and enjoy it, all I ask is you pay it forward. Share it with someone. On Facebook, Instagram, or wherever. And believe it or not, but word of mouth still goes a loooong way in helping folks find my stuff.

I mean, a lot of us could really use some distraction from all the uncertainty right now, so be kind, share! You’ll be helping me out, but you’ll also be bringing joy to people who could really use it.

So if you know someone who might like this sort of quirky fantasy, written from a Christian worldview, don’t keep it to yourself. Just share this or send them a link.

If you do download the book, all I ask is you give it a read. Take a few hours and see if it can’t transport you away for a while. It was fun to write, so I just gotta believe it’s fun to read.

Once you’ve read it, if you really, really want to show some appreciation, then review it where you got it. The vast majority of folks buy from Amazon. Reviews there might mean the difference between someone eagerly clicking to get it … or just sadly passing on by.  And remember, a review doesn’t have to be a long, rambling discourse (though I don’t mind, if that’s your style). A simple line or two giving your opinion is beyond awesome.

Also, in case you didn’t know, book one of my trilogy on Noah is also free. It has been for years, but if you didn’t know — now you do.

Thanks so much for reading this post and my fiction. Enjoy the free books! Stay healthy and God bless.

Peace,

John Stacy Worth
